Trauma happens... through accidents, injuries, falls, assaults, war, relationships and childhood. Trauma can get stored in the body and when there are traumatic stress patterns that are stuck in the nervous system, anxiety, stress and depression are manifested. Trauma, whether emotional, physical, or sexual in early relationships affects our capacity for healthy relationships. The chemistry of our bodies can alter, and be altered by our thoughts and feelings. Our bodies and our minds are truly interconnected, the health of one depends on the health of the other.
By integrating a somatic, psychological and spiritual approach through the use of Somatic Experiencing, hypnosis and psychotherapy and tapping into existing internal strengths and the wisdom of the body, the trauma can be released and the balance of the nervous system is restored.
