Before becoming a therapist, Tracey was a high school teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and in Latin America. Her experience as a teacher and later as a therapist facilitating community mental health programs in the schools has allowed her to obtain invaluable skills and experience, as well as understanding of the educational system.
Tracey enjoys working with couples to help them to improve their emotional connection, which is a focus in her practice. She is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. She has led groups and seminars for teens, parents, and couples desiring to improve their relationship. In her private practice she works an array of individuals and issues as well as with couples and teens.
In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Tracey uses an integrative approach utilizing a variety of modalities in her work; life coaching, guided imagery, hypnosis, mindfulness and somatic trauma work which allows the individual to build upon his/her existing internal strengths to achieve a sense of overall well-being and to reach his/her fullest potential.
Tracey is impassioned about hypnosis and uses it to help individuals in a range of areas, including smoking cessation, anxiety, pain management, test taking, and insomnia, and she makes individualized CD's for each patient. She has conducted workshops on the use of hypnosis to decrease stress, lose weight, and improve performance.
